About Me

Instructing a course on video production, circa 2003.

A little about me

My most recent stint was as Sr. Instructional Design Specialist, where most of my efforts were to create training courses and programs for technical team members. However, I also worked on sales, safety, and systems-related projects.  I spent the last 16+ years developing and delivering training programs for live and on-demand environments.  I utilize the SAM and ADDIE (or variations of the two) approaches in designing training programs.  Over the years, I have developed skills in using many software applications to create training programs and deliverables.  These include Articulate 360, Adobe CC Suite, and Microsoft Office.

Before developing training programs, I spent nearly 30 years in the audiovisual and event staging fields. I started my career with Mattel Toys in 1984, but once confident in my skills, I immensely enjoyed passing my understanding, knowledge, and love of learning on to others. Then, I began to develop training programs for the teams within my areas of influence.  This ultimately led to transitioning into a full-time training and development position in 2010.

Though I enjoy creating and staging events, I appreciate enriching team members’ lives through relevant educational activities that help them better themselves even more.
