Helping to deliver the learning experience...

Being a lifelong learner and having been involved in the training and development of others for the past 25yrs, I have experienced and created many training courses and programs.  What follows is a sampling of my most recent endeavors.

One of the most basic yet important forms of learning is experienced through the use of documentation that is made available at the time of need.

The “Quick Start” is a prime example of this type of deliverable.  It requires boiling down a great deal of information into the minimal amount required to perform the task at hand.

Instructor Led Training

At times, the subject matter requires a live environment to adequately involve the learner, particularly when the learner must perform hands-on training activities with specific materials, processes, or equipment.

In some cases, particularly when dealing with technical subjects, it is decided that creating an ILT that is focused on a particular subject, or level of competency within that subject, is the best course of action.

I have been involved in the creation of a number of ILTs.

Turning to the online environment to deliver training of any type is a challenge.  From basic instruction to compliance training,  maintaining the focus and attention of the learner becomes paramount, and using creative methods to keep the learner engaged becomes the challenge.

eLearning can be used as stand-alone instruction or as pre and/or post instruction material for ILT training. The ability to deliver training online at scale along with the capacity to dispatch training on-demand makes eLearning attractive.
